Default Club car ds oil

What kind of oil do I need to put in my golf cart. It is a 99 club car ds, with a 9 horse Kawasaki

Shell Rotella or Delo DIESEL oil 15/40; it has all of the additives that older small air cooled engines need. Newer oils do not have these because specs and tolerences for modern liquid cooled engines are way different

The correct Motor oil viscosity is somewhat dependent on climate.
Do you live in a hot climate or cold climate area? In the south, (Texas, Florida, etc.) you may want to run 10w-40.

I run SAE 30 in all of mine.

It Should take about 1.3 quarts with filter change.

I live in Florida just regular 10w-40 oil

Yep. Conventional 10w-40, or 15w-40 like Danny said. Either one should work great for you.
