Default Re: Need help with cart problem

Installing a new belt wouldn't cause the primary clutch to go bad. The problem I had was the clutch weights were worn so badly they rotated out of the assy and one of them impacted the pulley hard enough to break it. I was also test driving it after cleaning the primary clutch and installing the new belt WITHOUT the cover installed on the end of the clutch. When running the cart, make sure to install the cover first. That way if a clutch weight does rotate out like mine did, the cover will contain it.
