Default 1980 G1 Flywheel Removal

Are there any secrets to getting the flywheel off? I am trying to replace the crank seal. I have a three-bolt puller on it and I have used a impact wrench and a ½” pull handle and this thing will not move. Can or should you use heat? Thanks for any help or advise with this issue.

Might try some penatrating oil and let it sit for awhile. You could use heat also, don't see how it could damage the pulsar and source coils. Once off remember to "mark" the timing plate, after you change the crank seal , you can reinstall it at correct timing. Good luck Dave

I built this puller and when I tightened each bolt evenly the fly wheel came right off. There will be a little resistance before it breaks loose. If you have to use heat be carefull not get it too hot and make sure there is pressure on your puller, that way it will move when the temp is right

OK guy’s I got the flywheel off after heating it. After I got it all back together I took it for a test drive and the cart seems to be much louder now. Has anyone experienced their cart being louder after replacing the crank seals?
