Cost to Run EMerge
Latest # for the Cost of Running the EMerge
33 miles measured 19.21 kwh 241 hours it has been plugged in .15 to .17 amps when sitting plugged in. 7 watts when sitting plugged in. $1.92 Total cost to me @ $0.10 per KWH for the 33 miles Cart is brand new 4 seat EMerge 44 total miles, terrain is flat, I only seem to run it flat out at 25 mph. I think will start another sample after I get around 50 miles on this sample. |

Timdelta, how many miles have you gotten on a charge? I just bought one and I was just wondering.

Re: Cost to Run EMerge
Question regarding the battery charge.
I have an 08 Emerge. Do you all keep your vehicle plugged in when you are not driving it? Its been cold here lately, so I am luckily to get it out for a quick drive even once per week. I have just had my Emerge in my garage plugged in for the past couple of weeks.... |

Re: Cost to Run EMerge
All the books (both battery books and owners manual) say to keep it plugged in. So far it looks like it is only using 7 watts after it is charged up. The most I have driven it with out a charge is maybe 10 miles. It is brand new 50 miles now and am breaking in the batteries in slowly.
I am going to give the power stats every 50 miles and see how it goes. |

Re: Cost to Run EMerge
No way that far on a charge. I drive on flat ground and only about 5 miles at a time. I keep the cart plugged in whenever it is at home. The most I have gone is about 9 miles. They (the batteries) never go past 60%, but it as you may know the meter on the Tomberlin is a little screwy and quickly goes to 50% or so.

Re: Cost to Run EMerge
I'm just trying to figure how far I can get out a charge, they say I should get 35 miles but I don't want to push that. I have 205-65-10 on my car and I should get a little more. The car rides and steers real good.
