Re: EZGO weak
Before you go overboard on a rebuild, check the valve lash... These engines are notorious for pulling intake valves up and dropping comp... I would suggest doing a few preliminary checks before I went on a rebuild.. Just tryin to save you some cash...

Re: EZGO weak
You can pour a small amount of oil through the spark plug orifice and retest the compression. If the compression increases then you have a worn cylinder / piston. If there is no change then you have an issue with the top end.

Re: EZGO weak
Alright gang did the valves yes it does run a little better. Rechecked compression 110/125. added oil retested 110/125 no change. I guess my thinking is a valve job is in order ??? I'm open for ideas.

Re: EZGO weak
Much better fresh fuel flowing it's veins now I pull up the hill with wife in buggy. Lift kit complete 3 in in the rear, but had to install 5 in. In front for tires to clear fenders. But it sets level so all worked out well, just extra work.
Happy camper now. |

Re: EZGO weak
Compression difference should not exceed 10 psi, as a rule of thumb. Yours is 15. Repeat procedure.
