New Hides
Got some new hides for my Ezgo ST4X4. I had been wondering if 26" tires would work. It had 25x10.5-12 on the front and 25x11-12 on the rear. I put 26x10-12 on it all the way around. I was wanting as tall as I could get. Around here it's more about the mud than anything else. The tires are ITP Mudlights that I got from rocky mountain atv.

Re: New Hides
Too much tire will cut your power off at the knees. I have 25 inch dirt devils on my Ezgo workhorse. It spins them just fine with the 720cc V-twin 25 hp Robin.
I was wondering if 26 is too much tire on a motor half that size? |

Re: New Hides
The St has an 18hp V-twin Honda. Had GPS'ed it with the old tires and it ran out at 28mph with just a slight governor adjustment. I ran it around for about 20 minutes after the I got the new tires on and it still "feels" the same as far as speed and power. I will be using it all day tomorrow at a fundraiser for our fire department so I won't get a chance to GPS it till probably Sunday. I use this cart for both work and play. I used it today (old tires) to pull my 22' car trailer (about 1400lbs) the 3 miles into town with my big mower (about 800lbs) to mow the city park. I hope to not loose any power or speed and so far by the feel from the seat of my pants all things are okay.

Re: New Hides
I love Rocky Mountain ATV. Best part is I don't have to wait for shipping I just drown down the free way a few miles and walk right in. If you think the shop is awesome you should see the show room!

Re: New Hides
I buy most all of my 4wheeler stuff from them. I had to order a chain and sprocket set for my 4wheeler, far axle bearing for the one the girls ride and rear tires for my son's so I thought while I was in an ordering mood I'd get the tires for the ST.
