Default Tire Question

Hi All,

I know this is probably a dumb question. A friend of mine gave me 4 10 inch steel rims for my yamaha G9. I measured the rims at 8 inches across at the top of each rim where the bead is. I was over at Ace hardware the other day and I found some nice tires that are 20-8-10. Will these tires fit on the rims my friend gave me?

Thanks for any help.

just reread this..they SHOULD fit the rims...but if the wheel is too wide for the tire the beads wont sit right in the wheel causing the tire to "roll" in corners...if the sidewalls are straight after mounting you should be good..i only seem hesitant because most pople measure wheels wrong(no offense)...
