Re: loud noise from workhorse
Did you remove the gov from the rear axle? If not, the gov weights are slinging around inside the housing. This can lead to the rear end grenading. I still have mine intact, and I have a 18hp v-twin kit from CPP. I have been researching my options of removing the rear axle gov, but I have found little info that will be of help. Some people recommend adjusting the axle gov to compensate for the increased engine performance. Let me know what you find and if the engine is still governed.
