Default Too much voltage

I have a 94 1/2 ezgo gasser. When I drive it for long distances the battery boils. Do you think the voltage regulator is stuck on the alternator?

Default Re: Too much voltage

put voltage meter on battery with cart in neutral...when at full throttle(RPM) the battery voltage should raise to between 14-15 volts...if higher your voltage regulator is most likely bad...
