Default 91 Marathon 2 cycle still won't run

I've had issues with my cart not running and got tons of great advice here that lead me to replace the crankcase seals. After a long wait, I just finished getting it back together and still can't get it to run. It will occasionally sputter a little but not run longer than 30 secs. I have a good spark, 130 compression and the plug is wet everytime I check it. What I did notice was that the clutch side of the engine is wet and appears to be coming from the cylinder base gasket. so far I have:

replaced crankshaft seals
Completely cleaned the carb including all the jets
replaced the ignition to a HEI (no difference)
Drained the tank and put fresh gas
New plug & plug wire
Checked fuel pump output (appeared to be a good flow)

When I replaced the crankshaft seals they appeared to be intact but the clutch side of the engine showed signs of leakage. Could the cylinder gasket be blown and causing it to not run?

Sorry it's a 94 marathon 2 cycle with a 3pg motor. I have also cleaned the negative cables

Well, I got it running today. I figured I already tried everything so I replaced the coil even though I had what I thought was a good spark. It off and ran like a fine tuned watch. I'm still using the original ignitor and it seems to work just fine. Come to find out the leak I had was not from the base gasket but from testing the fuel pump output and dumping the carb bowl which ran down the jug.
