Default lifted cart oil level

I have a 93 cc lifted with 10" wheels. I also have a ezgo all stock. I read in the ezgo section that if you do a lift on the ezgo that will give you a differant reading on the oil dip stick from being lifted. I dont understand why it does but was wondering if the same holds true on the club car.
Maybe someone can give me an explanation as to why the dip stick would change readings. thanks

The motor is not actually mounted directly to the frame on the ezgo (not sure of club car or others, but I would think it would be similar), the motor mount "swings" with the axle.

When you lift the cart, the rear axle lowers...in effect giving you the lift. So the engine itlerally tilts back quite a bit. As you know, dip sticks are made to be checked while cart is level...but the engine is no longer level, which gives you an inaccurate reading.

Hopefully a club car owner will jump on here and let you know if that's something that occurs with cc's, as well. I'm curious myself!

I would think that any cart would change.
It changes the angle that the engine sits which in turn changes the oil level. I would drain the oil and put the amount that it calls for and then mark the dip stick.

Yes... the angle of the engine in a Club Car changes when lifting it!

The front of the engine pan at the snubber stays put, while the rear of it is lowered,
the dip stick is on the front of the engine, and the oil will follow gravity to the rear of the engine,
which, in turn, will give you a false oil level indication on the dip stick! (low oil level)

The easiest way around this is do what Lurch said... add the exact amount of oil, and mark the dip stick.
(32 oz. without a new filter, and 38 oz. with a new filter)

When I added my 3" Jake's spindles, (on top of an existing 4" Z lift)
the angle got so bad that I thought the snubber might slip off the frame, plus, the oil light would come on at higher RPM's,
So I lowered the front of the engine pan (snubber bracket) to level the engine out.

That is what I went through, I lowered the cross member that the engine cradle mounted to.

Looks great, but I'm assuming no off-roading on this cart? Seems that it would catch easily on any type of terrain other than level grass and pavement.

When you drop the front motor mount, do you have problems with the air intake hose kinking off?
