Agree with Springbok.

I haven't climbed many hills yet. I may have had a slight decrease in top speed, but not by much. Just seat of the pants feel. I did however have an old belt prior to the severe duty belt. That could account for the loss I "feel".

I did the changes because I intend on using my cart more off-road around our farm/hunting property. I wanted better hill climbing torque.

Thanks for the replies. Springbok I believe I read on another thread you only did the driven clutch machining and spring but didn't change the drive clutch. I was leaning towards doing the same because of the difficulty of getting the drive clutch off. Do you believe there is not much to be gained by doing the drive clutch? Just asking because I see many doing both.

I don't know if doing the drive clutch mods is really worthwhile. I just know that my cart does everything I want it to do right now. The only thing I would think to want at this point would be snappier take-offs, but it doesn't seem that any sort of clutch work is really oriented to that. So I'm good. If I want any more power at this point I'll likely just do a motor swap.

Taking the drive clutch off is actually quite easy, if you buy the $40 tool. Just a couple zips with an impact gun and it pops right off.
