Default 295 valve question

Judging by the looks of the valve adjuster I am due a valve job. Can I remove the head with the engine in the cart or is it easier to go ahead and pull the engine?

You can do it without pulling the engine. I just did mine last week.

Might be a dumb question but don't know why that third rocker is adjusted so far out,
did you adjust the rockers with the cam lobes away from the rockers?

Stovebolt,

Yes, valve lash is properly adjusted. I figured this was what happened as the valve starts self destructing.
