1995 yamaha g9 gas, have replaced solenoid, throttle pedal micro switch, battery, brushes. still wont turn over, have power at one large terminal at solenoid but when i even try to jump it nothing happens. small red wire on solenoid from throttle switch has power. jumped starter/generator directly from battery and it turns over so i know that is working...any help would be appreciated

Here's the wiring diagram. http://www.cunninghamgolfcar.com/dow...maha%20G9A.pdf

Check all the cables. Somethings not right.

And welcome to BGW.

I have seen the wire inside the lead terminal where it meets the battery post be the problem, while looking near perfect on the outside. Check for positive power at the relay input terminal, and negative power at the negative starter/generator terminal (follow the negative battery wire to the starter/generator) while trying to start.

These things like to have wire connection problems at times. I had to file out the inside of my clamps once and file off the outside of the battery posts to get it to run. I used a battery post cleaner and it looked clean, but it would not work! I need to measure them the local farm store has new cables fairly cheap and I will replace them. Also look at the ground wires, all grounds are wired and they like to have issues! Not kidding, yamaha does not ground the cart only the engine unless it was done for some accessory. Bad ground wire you will see power there but it wont work. Every G9 I have seen has new connectors by the start solenoid on the small wires. Also check the large lugs that bolt on things with large wires, they can fail where the wire is inside the lug. Often they show power but when you put a load on them the power vanishes.
