Re: My EZGO 295 rebuild...
you hit it on the head Hogwild! [Does anyone follow the ezgo engine manual when it comes to the specs (original & wear limits) or do you follow the "fix what was broke inside" methodology?]
people define rebuilt? differently |

Re: My EZGO 295 rebuild...
Quote:
At first he tells me that a rebuild kit wasn't available, he'd just have to piece everything together for me separately. He tells me that a crankshaft is $1000 & a camshaft is about $900, yadda yadda. He asked me "who's gonna rebuild it...YOU"? I tell him "well, yea". He asked me "was it locked up when you took it apart?" I says "no, but it's using oil and smoking". He says, "I'd just fix what was broke and go on". When I ask about the $1800 "rebuilt" engine they have in stock, he says "it only required a piston and connecting rod". I knew they were off their rocker and went on my way. |

Re: My EZGO 295 rebuild...
Does anyone know if I can have my yamaha G9 crank turned and use oversized rod bearings. Can I get the oversized bearings? If so where? Thanks

Re: My EZGO 295 rebuild...
That's just the labor, but it does include the pistons and rings, because they
bore them. If your engine needs any other parts it will be in addition to the rebuild cost. What did you ever wind up doing anyway HOGWILD ? |
