Something like this, but make sure it doesn't dip down too far into the crankcase and hit something. Make sure your motor can still rotate after you install:

access is very limited without tearing a bunch of stuff off. I was able to put a plastic plug in that fits snug. Not sure I can tighten a bolt on a rubber softplug. If the plastic plug does not stay, I may resort to spraying the hole clean with brake-clean and taking a cork that fits and coating it with JB-Weld and dropping it in. Because I know I never need to open it again and I am fairly confident that JB-Weld will stick and do the job with the cork.

I'd says it's a low oil sensor.... You probably have the plug hanging around somewhere

He's got the oil level sensor, though it's not hooked up in his picture. You can see it under the belt in his original pic. He's asking about the empty hole that can be seen above the belt in his pic. In your picture it would be hidden behind the adjustment bracket for the starter / generator. I'm thinking one of those expanding rubber plugs for a pop bottle (or wine bottle?) might be about the right size. Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Wine-Bottl...t/352006164981
But I could swear I've seen something like it at Walmart or Dollar Tree. As I said I can get you the actual size tomorrow.

I solve the problem using J-B Weld putty. I cleaned the hole with brake clean and formed a ball a little larger than the hole with the J-B Weld putty and carefully pressed it about halfway in. Can't imagine it ever coming out.
