G1 carb connections?
So, I am working on a G1 for a friend, previous owner did the oil injection bypass, & I have pulled carb to clean & replace hoses.
My question is, can anyone tell me what the carb connections are designated for, primarily the 90 degree elbow connection on the opposite side of the fuel & injection connections(I think). Initial problem was, it would start & idle well, but would bog or "load up" upon accelerating, is there anything else I should be looking for? Thanks! |

Re: G1 carb connections?
The one with the 90 degree bend is the one for the gas. The one on pretty much exact opposite side of the carb from the gas connection is merely an overflow and can be ignored. The remaining nipple would have been for incoming oil so that should be plugged.

Re: G1 carb connections?
As lochlin said it's important to plug the oil injection hole on the carb if not it will create a lean condition
