54v ÷ 24 cells is 2.25 which is a minimum charge. Not saying that is bad but it is a minimum. Trojan Battery says this battery can safely charge to 2.71 or 65 volts like my on-board Lester does.

2.25 vpc would be well suited for AGM or "sealed" batteries.

Well I did see 53.6 before I went into the house, charger was flashing. I cam out a about 2 hours later and it was around 52.8 but the charger was off, solid green light. Maybe it got higher and I did not see it. I will check it though. Thanks

Also sorry for the high jack, this is not my thread but I asked a question and I am sorry to the OP for that.

Well last night I check my cart with a new charger, same thing showing 53.6 volts. But I heard batteries boiling so I went and got a multimeter. It showed 59+ volts. Dash gauge still showed 53.6. I went back to old charger and got the same thing 59+ charging. So I guess the dash gauge doesn't read higher than 53.6. I let it sit and checked it with both and the gauge was at 52 volts and the multimeter read 52 also so the guage works below 53.6. Pictures attached

Time for a new dash voltmeter.

I've had one that did the same thing. Read very low. Replaced it with the same brand and it read .3-.4 low but I can live with that.

FYI - batteries are gassing not boiling. It sounds similar but it is different. Gassing is required during bulk charge to remix the elements. Without the gassing the battery capacity will diminish

Meter is brand new, just put it in last weekend. It just doesn't go above 53.6 which is fine as long as it reads right off charge.
