Default Batteies

I have 36v cart, batteries 3 years old, fully charged battery meter drops 3 bars within 30min, each one showing 6.4v, all together 38.1v, with charger plugged in 42v, bought load meter all batteries show good, so why are they depleting so fast? any ideals would be appreciated.

The handheld battery testers are no match for the capacity of a golf cart battery. It can only identify a "completely wasted" battery with major internal problem. Handheld meter may draw 100a for 15 seconds (and then it begins overheating). Golf batteries need a tester that can draw 75a indefinitely (2 hours would be a very good test score). See where the problem with the handheld tester is?

The cart is the best battery discharge tester there is, and you already own it. Drive till the batteries are down on power, then clip meter leads to each individual battery, one by one and drive more while watching voltage. The ones with the lowest voltage are the biggest problem.

Disregard. Leap-frogged.

Connect a handheld multimeter to each battery and drive up a steep hill. Repeat for each battery. Best load test.
