Default Humdinger questions

I’m going to go look at a CC Humdinger for sale. I believe it is factory built by CC but the owner doesn’t know much about it. Neither do I. He is thinks it’s about 20 years old and everything works as it should. The batteries are about 2 years old.

Can anyone tell me more about these and what one would be worth in decent shape with decent batteries? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Mechanically that should be a Club Car DS. The "Humdinger" is an aftermarket body kit, not a Club Car factory model. There is a company, American Custom Golfcars (AGC) that makes a nice 48 volt Hummer based model, again based on a Club Car chassis. Value could vary quite a bit depending on age & condition. I found this sale listing for one on a 2000 Club Car chassis, but don't know how current the listing may be.

I took these in Las Vegas on a trip to the States in about 2000. Is this the same cart you are talking about? If so the second pic shows some specs.

I just got back from looking at it and I told them I would buy it. I believe it's a 2000 model (DS chassis / Humdinger conversion). It appears to be in very good shape although the batteries are probably shot - it was parked a couple of months ago and not put on a charger so they are as dead as can be.

Other than that, everything seems to be well taken care of and it even comes with the optional stereo and electric winch. I'm going to give it to my wife as a Christmas present for working around the yard. If she doesn't want it, I figure I can sell it and probably make a few $$$.

Who did the conversion? I have an American Custom Golf Cart H3 which was likely built on a knockoff Chinese CC Precedent chassis using CC parts.

Here is a link to a thread about the ACG carts. The specs on my 2006 ACG H3 are similar to the ones Yawood posted. Though I’m running 15” tires.

I bought it and replaced the batteries and everything worked as it should. I've seen one Humdinger sell on eBay for $6000 on the first day it was listed. I saw another one listed for $12,000 on eBay but I don't think it sold.

I've also added 4-inches of lift, 25" tires, and a fake supercharger. I am now working on getting it titled and registered as a LSV in N. Carolina.

From what I have been able to find out, Humdingers were built by Ultra Carts in California as a street-legal "Community Vehicle" and they sold for around $17K when new. Ultra Carts was sued by Hummer and lost the lawsuit for copyright infringement. I believe they went out of business shortly after. They used genuine Club Car DS chassis for their builds.
