Only getting 6V at headlight(s)?
So I'm upgrading my headlights to LED (original bulbs blown and socket broken) and I go to hook them up and discover that I only have 6 Volts at the plug. Is this typical on a gas Yamaha (G27 Umax) Battery has 12V and runs fine.
When I look at the electrical system, next to the battery, does anyone know what the Green circled relay controls? Anyone have any thoughts before I run a new harness to the lights? |

Re: Only getting 6V at headlight(s)?
Not sure what the ultimate cause was, but I added a ground strap from the battery to the frame, and discovered that the 10A fuse that the tail lights were on (LED) had a hairline crack.
New fuse and ground strap gave me 12V at the headlight. Now if anyone can tell me what that relay is for I'd appreciate it |
