Contact David hicks at revolution golf cars. I’ve got a 2008 (same setup as you) and with a $30 speed magnet was getting around 22mph on the lead batteries. After switching to lithium I can do 25 on flat pavement all day. I’ve got no lift kit and stock 10” wheels and tires.

My old magnet was stuck in there pretty good. I tack welded a paint stirrer stick to a slide hammer and went to town, it came out in pieces. Not really a big deal though, just make sure you get all the old pieces out and it’ll be fine. Just be careful not to break the speed sensor itself (the part on the outside)

A couple of paint can openers usually works...

Thanks for the correction. Paint can opener is what I meant, not stir sticks

Alone it wouldn’t work but once it was attached to the end of my slide hammer… magic

I got the magnet out tonight... was a little intimidating after I broke the magnet in three pieces I was like what the heck lol.

I bent the heck out of one of the paint can openers pryed the heck out of the metal ring that remain on the shaft.
shaft.

It came out and gently installed the new magnet with the white dot sticking out. Used a round paint stick to tap it back on and pressed the speed sensor back onto the motor.

Charging up the cart cart and gonna go for a speed run in the morning.
