Make sure the speed sensor isn’t damaged. What kind of battery voltage do you have before driving it? What does your voltage do while you are driving it?

Make sure that you are getting full throttle and that the drive bar isn't worn which is a common problem on a ds by not allowing the mcor to go to 100 percent.. ...How much travel do you have on the go pedal before you hear the solenoid click...Should be about an inch...

You can use a bit of 1/4” fuel line and a zip tie around the bar to take up the slack. Works fine, I did that on mine over a year ago and it still works perfect

If nothing else it’ll get you by until you can fix it right. I just haven’t felt that need yet, and once this hose wears out I’ll probably just cut it off and put a new one on

Look at this thread..There are a few pics...You can use fuel line instead of a zip tie...They both work..

I hadn’t seen that. I did the same thing he did in that thread, but ran the zip tie through the center of a piece of fuel line. I didn’t have any zip ties that were fat enough… and the only fuel line I had handy was the yellow flexible stuff that was too thin on its own to fit over the shaft and take up the slack. Worked out perfectly. I keep meaning to change it, but why fix what ain’t broke!
