42v back to 36v?
A few years ago I replaced the factory controller with an ALLTRAX DCX400PDS and HD solenoid. A short while later the charger died. One of the sponsors suggested I replace it with a 42v DPI charger. By adding a battery it would improve performance and range. Did it and have been happy.
I now need to sell the cart and $ is tight. Have a set of 6 used batteries that will work but it will simplify selling it and save $ if I convert back to 36V. I have a 36v charger. My question is, after running 42 volts for years, will there be any problems converting it back to 36v? Thanks in advance for your help. |

If the solenoid will work at 36V, you are good to go since you have a 36V charger.

Re: 42v back to 36v?
When I ordered the controller and solenoid, it was for a 36v application. The 42v conversion came later.
Thanks again. |

Re: 42v back to 36v?
Sounds like you have the same setup I had a few years ago. I'm still running same solenoid, but upgraded to the XCT controller.
