Club Car to Yamaha
I have a 2018 Club Car Precedent. I drive it on the streets around South Florida and the ride is soo stiff that I am considering getting rid of it and buying a Yamaha. I'm looking at a new Drive 2 PTV Powertech AC. From what I can tell, they come with true 4 wheel independent suspension, and a claim of the smoothest ride of all carts. I have heard that no matter what I did to my Club Car, it wouldn't be able to ride as nicely on the street as a Yamaha? Thoughts?

Club Car to Yamaha
I would suggest going and test driving a Yamaha G29 Drive and decide for yourself. It’s not really “apples to apples” but I had a 2001 Club Car DS and now have a 2016 Yamaha G29. I really liked my DS but my Yamaha rides noticeably better. I have a family member with a 2014 EZ-GO and my Yamaha rides better than hers too. The coil suspension is better than the leaf springs in my opinion.
But again, just go and test drive one. May be an easy decision, either way, after doing so. You may decide it’s not enough of an improvement to change up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Club Car to Yamaha
I can tell you from my experience - I own two older G29 carts - that the ride is anything but smooth. The coil suspension is quite stiff - ride is ok and better with two people aboard. I don't know bout the Drive 2 differences though. I also would suggest that you do a test drive before you are sure that the ride is all that much better than what you currently have.

Re: Club Car to Yamaha
I had a 1999 G14 that rode like it was on air. I now have a 07 G29 and it rides like a tank.
