Alltrax Regen Diode Installation
In my 36V 2005 EZGO TXT PDS, I am upgrading my stock curtis controller and solenoid with an ALLTrax 400 XCT and Curtis SW180 solenoid. The solenoid came with a diode connecting 2 of the small terminals and a resistor connecting the 2 large terminals.
In addition, a Regen Diode came in the box with the Alltrax XCT, with install instructions. The Regen Diode instructions are straight forward, it looks like I connect the 2 large terminals on the solenoid with the stripe on the + battery side but I'm confused what I do with the resistor that came installed on the solenoid? Do I leave it on and also install the regen diode with it? Or one or the other? It's the last thing I have to wire, so I am right at the finish line! |

Re: Alltrax Regen Diode Installation
The resistor is not needed on the XCT controller. Only the regen diode. The precharge is done internally.
