Limo Roof, which one to buy?
Need to pick up a new 120" roof for our Limo cart. The old fiberglass one has just about had it. It's cracked around all of the mounting points and it's really a pain to keep clean with the oxidized gel coat that's on it. Looking at some new ones I see one by Red Dot that looks pretty nice, and Doubletake has one that would certainly work but I've heard some complaints about the double-take roofs in the past. I think most of those were resolved by replacing rivets with bolts to hold the roof to the mounting tracks.
Thought I should ask here on the forums what any of you guys have experienced and if you have a preference for one brand or another. I know all of these are made in China, but at close to a G for a roof it's not the kind of thing I want to drop a pile of money on without having some input from people who have used them. Any thought or opinions, much appreciated! |

I would contact our buddy David and see what he has or suggests.

Re: Limo Roof, which one to buy?
I helped install a RedDot Topsail Canvas top on a guys cart a few days ago. I thought it looked very cool, and especially for one in the sub $400 dollar price range. It was a small pain lashing it on, but I thought it looked excellent when we were done. I think my villager is going to get one....
I like that beachy/t-top boat look, if that makes any sense.. |

If it's truly fiberglass, why not take it to a body shop that does fiberglass work and have them paint it in the color of your choice? I bet it wouldn't cost a G note.

Yes. That is the one. If someone described it to me without seeing it, I would say it would be cheap and crappy looking. I was impressed with it. Here is another pic from the web....
