driven clutch chatter
I had some problems with my muffler dragging and hitting on the rear clutch last trip out. I've addressed that problem... but
Now the clutch squeals and chatters.. i pulled it apart and found the shaft is discolored brownish/ blue. When i spin it without the spring etc in, it chatters.. you can see in the pictures the two spots where the outer clutch hub rides is discolored and possibly over heated. When it spools up and moves out.. is when the problem occurs. Is there a fix for this or just something i need to replace.. and if so does anyone have an extra?? thanks a bunch ps - its a 95 EZGO with a 24hp engine. I had the spring set to high torque. |

Re: driven clutch chatter
You could replace the movable half the bushings shot, BUT by the wear line on the fixed half you REALLY need a new clutch.
