03 TXT Driven Clutch Removal Problem
This clutch is stuck something fierce. I have put PB Blaster on it for 4 days straight, used a rubber mallet and a gear puller to no avail. When spinning clutch, seems to be a little off center. Not sure what else to try, scared to crank on puller any harder for fear of breaking the aluminum clutch. Any ideas.

Re: 03 TXT Driven Clutch Removal Problem
The pickle fork puts a lot of pressure on a small area. You can break the clutch or the differential housing both of which are made of cast aluminum.
I'm not saying I haven't used the fork with positive results; I'm saying do so knowing you are risking catastrophic damage. |

Re: 03 TXT Driven Clutch Removal Problem
acehigh7 Your best tool here is patience and more of that PB blaster.. Like scotty said too, the pickle fork will work but the aluminum will always lose that battle. A little time and moderation and it'll pop right off....Good Luck
