Disabled the governer om my G2 and now it cuts out at 20 mph
I disabled the governer on my yamaha G2 and now when I get it up to 20 mph it cuts out. I don't know if its a rev limiter or the clutchs or whats happenin.

They do have a rev limit, the G9 does not. You can convert to G9 have to change some wires to use the G9 ignitor. But at 20mph you must have stock tires, I would not recommend to rev it harder without high speed gears or a lift with larger tires to gear it up. You will not get much more mph anyway. With gears or tires it puts more of a load on the engine and it can be run with no governor or limiter long as you don't floor it down hills. You can do whatever, that is just what I would recommend. My G9 with 22 tires will hit 30gps on the road and its screaming pretty hard, takes a while to get there.
