Wow I wonder why mine had 80/90 gear oil in it? I hate the smell of that stuff. Thats how I know what was in there and the fact that it was thicker than regular oil.

You have an Ezgo ~ There is no question on the Ezgo ( or the CC in my mind) They will continue to get 30w and a dollop of STP in my shop

If you use 1 ounce of STD, do you reduce the amount of oil or still put ten ounces in with the one ounce of STP?

A little extra oil does not hurt but if you put lots of extra oil in there as I have seen, you get lots of oil up against the axle seals on turns and hills and if that seal leaks or seeps in the least bit you tend to get oil on the brakes which is bad.

Thanks. I'll try and stick with 10 oz. total. I already noticed a drip just from having it on jack stands for several days. I never park it on inclines this extreme, so it's probably not a problem, but I do intend on finding out where it came from, when I clean it up for the new oil.

I'm sticking with the 90w my manual tells me to use. Just thought I should say something after reading of all the people running 30w. Manual says 90w for my marathon, maybe they changed something with the newer carts?
