g1 2 cycle oil tank
hello everyone, i want to bypass the 2cycle oil tank on my 81 g1, i just want to mix the gas up and put in fuel tank, do i have to cap the oil line to the carb? or leave it hooked up?thanks

If you are going to stop using the oil pump then you should cap the inlet on the carb. You want to make sure that no air or dirt can get into the carb as these can harm the engine and its performance.
I feel it's always a good idea to remove possible failure points and an unused oil pump may cause problems down the road if left connected. -Paul |
