Thinking its a two stroke G1 b/c of the oil tank. Any ideas on the year?

Re: What model is this?
Yep, G1. From the picture (new style solenoids, plastic rear inner fenders and the air chamber above the carb manifold) 1983 and up. The serial # will be stamped on the main frame member (what the rear bumper brackets bolt to) should start with j24, j36 ect then 6 numbers for the exact year.

Re: What model is this?
Thanks. It's on an auction by me and I may buy it.
How much horsepower are these capable of? Can they produce a big powerband? |

Re: What model is this?
No, they were desighned to go 10 to 12 mph, but with some "tweeks" I've heard of 25 mph with the stock engine set up.

Re: What model is this?
Did you do any mods with the motor? The gas carts I have worked on are pretty finicky with the stock parts let alone any aftermarket mods

Re: What model is this?
Yeah they are real finicky when it comes to fuel air an other changes. I had .30 taken off the head the cylinder is .75mm over that timing is advanced as far as the plate will let it ( they say you can notch the plate an go farther but I didn't want to loose any in on reverse ) the Carb is 2 jets bigger then stock. I made a cold air intake by cutting the hoes an putting a K&N filter on it. The front clutch had a 1/4 shim in it the rear clutch is stock but I do have a heavier spring I can an do put in it when needed. The lift is a Jake's 6" an some used ATV tires I found on Craigslist. If you look around an do a search on here you can see other mods guys have done that may help you. I know in the big block section there is a Guy putting a 250cc brovo top end on one an rumor has it you will be looking at about a 55MPH cart. I can't say this or not since I never seen one an really I have no need for one that fast. So do your homework but in my book you can't beat a old G1. Good luck

Cart looks good, all the parts except the bag carrier are there and its not hacked up. Identical to my 84 except my floor mat is in three sections.
