Please help 2008 club car precedent only goes 8mph
I cannot figure out what is going wrong with my club car precedent 2008 model. I press on the gas and the cart takes of but then immediately does down to 8mph. I charged the golf cart then charged each battery individually and made sure all were filled with water. I changed all cables connecting to the battery to make sure none were shorting out however no matter what I do the cart takes off fast and then dies down to 8 mph. I dont know if this is motor breaking or is this because of the golf course that owned the cart put it in that way but if that was the case how could I fix this or what trouble shooting could I do to make it work. Really frustrating! Ha I am like ricky bobby. I want to go fast! ha and this cart will not let me! Please help me out here!

sounds like your speed sensor, turn on the key and push it a few feet your reverse buzzer should buzz telling you its rolling away and your motor braking will slow it down,if not your speed sensor is bad.oh yea make sure your run/tow switch is in run

Still sounds like a classic speed sensor gone bad.. When they go bad the cart will go into limp mode as you describe.
