1999 txt controler ?
I have a 1999 txt dcs 9 pin connector. Is there a way to retro fit a pds/vps controller to be able to use the speed chips.
I am looking for more speed and was not sure on the different controller. Thanks Ray |

It's a big job. It's easier to drop in an Altrax 400 or 500 amp controller into that cart to wake it right up.
What are your plans for the cart? |

Re: 1999 txt controler ?
Like the G-Man said, changing a DCS over to a PDS is a big job and just dropping in a Alltrax DXC400DCS (which is almost plug-n-play) will get you about 20MPH on stock height tires, and you'll end up with more torque than a PDS system.
Scottyb at Carts Unlimited has a pretty good write-up on how to figure out the desired end result for the cart and how to plan towards that goal. The DCS controller/solenoid packages are about halfway down the page. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html While on the website, read everything with the word "Battery" in title. Lots of good info. |

I use it at the drag strip to tow back a jr dragster and to get around all day.
Thanks Ray |

Then you want the DCS over the PDS drive system. You just need to upgrade the controller, solenoid and cables. They are great little carts.

Re: 1999 txt controler ?
If your cables and batteries are up to snuff, just drop in an aftermarket controller and HD solenoid and you'll be able to tow full-sized dragsters.
However, you'll probably need cables too, since they are most likely 6Ga and in poor condition. |
