Default where to buy stainless valves

Did a search for stainless valves and Fastfred was all I could come up with is there any other place to find them. I even did a Google search and came up with nothing.... This going in a medalist with a 350 and a 295 head.

So where did all the guys playing with the 350 motors go. I've been looking around and a lot of these guys seemed to have disappeared. Is there a different section I should be going to, is this more for smokers???

Sonny I would think maybe there isn't an exact match but would be doable with machine work. First you would have to get a stem size and length then the valve head size. Keep in mind as long as you have the proper stem dia the length can be cut a bit. Now the head size may also be cut down to fit the seat or a larger seat can be installed and this is where all the machine work comes in. I'm sure fastfred
did some serious machining to get this done as he made his own turbo system. You may want to contact Melling or Federal Mogul to see if they offer something which could be applied or close. Well that's my 2 cents hope it helps

Thanks Lou I will check on that. I suppose I could do the springs that way too. I'm looking to wind it to 6500 rpm. That should give me the speed I'm looking for along with a little more pep.

Yep or shim the exiting ones but watch for coil bind. Maybe .030 shim under each then check for coil bind. Keep in mind the cam is going to have to support the increased pressure or load of the springs.

Thanks again this is a project for me and my two boys (5 and 9). I want to show them how to build and hot rod an engine. Plus I get to drag them to different machine shops to show them real skills.

Great project did it with my father at the 5yr age and up but you may be creating a monster .LOL Oh and be sure to take them to the junkyard and send them on a mission like go find me some bulbs and fuses that was the highlight of our trip when I could pocket a few.

Lou you hit it on the head. Its how I grew up too, dad had a shop along with a full time job evening shift. I spent every day in the shop around fast boats, harleys and indy style racecars. So I am just trying to show my kids the same fun.
