model k2988
I have a model K2988 electric e-z-go. I need the schematic for. I have found
a few on line, but there seems to be some difference in them. I need to make sure I have the correct one when I go to work it. . |

Re: model k2988
That is a Date code. You've probably got a 1988 Marathon with a resistor type drive system.
This is probably the schematic for your cart, but you will have to trace it out while looking at your cart to be sure. |

Re: model k2988
Yep. That why I said it was a 1988.
Being Pre-1993, it is probably a Marathon body style and being Pre-1991.5, it is probably a resistor type drive. Note that I used the word "probably" twice in the preceding sentence. To find out what it was when it left the factory, enter the serial number at this website:http://www.shopezgo.com/customer-ser...ialNumber.html |

Re: model k2988
One my list of years that the various types of drives were produced, there is a footnote on the Marathon controller cart that says, maybe as early as 1988.
Looks like you've got on of those Maybe's It is either came from the factory as a controller cart or has been retrofitted with a electronic speed control. This should be the schematic for it. Looks like the half-speed reverse wires to the double microswitch on F/R assemble are hanging loose, so the F/R may have been replaced with one that only has two microswitches instead of three, but other than that, it should match. |

Re: model k2988
Here is a parts manual for a 88, but it only shows the resistor type drive. Everything else should be pretty close.
I've either downloaded or saved the link to every freebie EZGO Electric cart manual I've found on-line and don't have an owner or service manual for a 88 Marathon or X-444, so you will probably have to buy one from EZGO or some cart vendor. |
