I would still hand crank the motor with any of the great suggestions posted, important not to give the rings a reason to stick. My son is graduating high school Friday. Keys are hiding........

today is a new day, will pick up a few things after work, tune up kit for starters.......my neighbor said, I will be ok cause I used synthetic oil, but he did not see what I saw coming out the crank case, and I did roll the motor just to see if it would turn, no problems there.
if it does not fire up tonight............my son will be the proud owner of a slighty used golf cart.........

Wait...what? You're not giving it to him are you? If so than I would say he made out like a bandit on this deal...

C'mon guys. Give the son a break. Haven't we all done things that we looked back on as stupid?

Remember that a cart is just a cart and easily replaced with some money. A son, however, is an unreplaceable gift.

the best thing I have done so far, made my son read these post........

got the cart running last night, smoked liked a freight train, till we took it out for a run, by the time we got back from our ride it had cleared up, oil looks good but think I will change it 1 more time after the weekend.
the one thing that is bothering me most, is my allsport lift that I paid extra to have powder coated aluminum, is now flaking off, like a bad spay can paint job, I got my son picking up a few cans of black paint for the rest of the carts suspension, but cant make up my mind on what to do with the aluminum powder coat part, I just cant bring my self to paint it black.
thinks the aluminum wheel paint will look like crap!!!!
o ya the front roof strut snapped were it joins the body while riding last night, rust got it too, I just put it on him. that may have already been rusted before he submerged it. (just makes me feel better)

thank guys, you'lls imput made this easier to deal with, would still be mad if it were not for this forum!!!!! bgw rocks!!!!
