I got the sneaky feeling we are talking about putting a 48v CC differential in a 36v Ezgo It will work if you can find the 36v CC series motor.

Motors are totally different we tried to take 48 volt off rear end last night think we may have wrecked it? casing came off but we did not notice the 2 little screws in end and kinda bent the the mounting tap that these go too. Also the stub shaft is from the motor is really stuck. The 36 volt motor we have has a different stub end. also the way it mounts to the rear end it self is different.

No we did not get a charger with the donor cart.

as far as being opposite the 36 volt motor mounts to the left drivers side the 48 volt mounts to the right. Not a big deal plenty of room to mount the donor if we can get a 36 volt motor to fit in it.

Well the first thing we need to know is what kind of ezgo do you have, tell us what drive system you have, did your ezgo ever run? why are you trying to put a Club Car rear end in a ezgo, when you figure out what drive system you have, then you will be able to figure which motor will work

look at the diagram and figure out the drive system

yes the exgo did run but the spur gear in the rear end went and it seams thaqt ezgo is not making them anytime soon so we got the donor cart and thought ewe could retro fit it in our ezgo but we need a 36 volt motor for it now since we destroyed the 48 volt motor getting it off\

Dennis,
Lets clear up something that I think is making it hard for you to get the help you're looking for.

You have a 36v Ezgo, is Series, DCS or PDS drive (see chart)
You got a 48v replacement rear end. What did it come out of? How many teeth are on the drive spline?
