Update: So I got everything installed and ran into a problem. My radio has a yellow wire which I read should go straight to the battery for the memory. I connected my ground and positive to my switch and then from there to my fuse block with ground. Radio comes on but switch doesn't work at all. I then connect yellow wire to the middle post of the switch and the switch works but doesn't save my settings. I alternated the positive and yellow wire on my switch and then the switch didn't work. Any advice? This is the diagram with the switch but isn't relative with a radio install. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378156586.910535.jpg

Because I'm connecting the radio to a switch. My switch is between the radio and the fuse block. I thought my positive and negative needed to go to the switch and from the switch to my fuse block. And then my yellow constant to my battery. No?

Should I connect my positive and my yellow together and then connect to a single fuse?

Re: Fuse Block Diagram?
I use a small toggle switch next to my radio to turn it off if my phone rings. Turning off the radio involves pushing and holding the volume knob for several seconds. That's the only reason to use a switch, and it's just the power, not the memory. Both memory and negative should always be connected. Switching the power is only needed if it's more convenient.
EDIT: A relay could be used, to kill all accessories when you turn off the buggy. |
