High Pedal Disable Alarm
Help ~ Ok guys , I have a 400 amp DCX controller that has been working fine. Went out Sat and rode for about 10 minutes and throttle was sticking a little, so when i got home i sprayed a little wd 40 on the spring. Went to go out again and cart would not move forward or reverse, controller had 3 red blinking lights which is high pedal disable says throttle not going closed. have looked over everthing and pedal is not hung up anywhere. Any Ideas on how i might be able to reset the controller or how i might fix this. Thanks

Re: High Pedal Disable Alarm
The controller is sensing a partial throttle condition. The voltage between Pins 1 & 2 on a DCX controller should be 10V with pedal up and 6V with pedal down.
The ITS plunger may be maladjusted, or it could be wiring issues. Here is how to adjust the ITS plunger. If you have a DCS, the drill size is different, but as long as the plunger is well out of the sensor coil with pedal up and all the way in (or protrudes slightly) with pedal down, there shouldn't be a high pedal error. (The voltages given are for a stock controller, DCX controller has different voltages) Also, you can deselect the High Pedal Disable option on the Control screen when programming the controller. |

Re: High Pedal Disable Alarm
Thanks Johnnie, I have looked at the plunger and it looks just like the images you posted. I will take the controller off and see if i can find someone to disable the high pedal alarm. The images were a great help ! Thanks again

Re: High Pedal Disable Alarm
Measure the voltage between Pins 1&2. It might be wrong.
If it is, it could be a dirty connection or a bad ITS sensor. |
