Default ezgo txt takes off fast then slows to crawl

hello guys, I have a 2009 txt (pds) 36 volt that is moving really slow. Batteries are full at 37.4 or so and just will not hardly move maybe 5 mph. I did disconnect bat + to take cover off and checked all wiring everything seems good, so connect bat + and hit pedal took off at full speed for maybe 5 sec. and then went to a crawl again. now when hit the gas it just crawls, if I remove bat + and reinstall it flys for 5 sec and then crawls. can someone send me in the right direction please.

Help, this thing is crazy if I don't give it full throttle it will get up to speed FAST and stay there (like 3/4 throttle). if I go to full throttle it falls on it's face like it is in a limp home mode, take bat + off and wait a minute and back to fast again until full throttle. any help would be appreciated .

Sounds like a possible tach sensor problem to me.

37.4 V. is only about 75% SOC. You may have one or more of your batteries giving up under load. Try monitoring pack voltage under load to make sure it is healthy. RAY

thanks guys the voltage stays the same all the way through, is there a way to test speed sensor? just weird that I can hold it just below full throttle for ever and it does fine, just break the next point and it falls on it's face (ie. if 1-10 is throttle position 1-8 works fine move to 9 or 10 and goes to below half throttle).

are you using a handheld digital voltage meter. if the voltage on your battery stays the same no matter how hard you push the pedal I want those batteries. what I am saying is do not rely on the bar graph on the dashboard. I'm guessing your batteries are bad or 1 battery is bad. so when you push the gas hard the controller goes into low voltage alarm and shuts down in limp mode

hey guys yes using a fluke, voltage drops to around 36 volts, batteries are new and connections are tight. while checking connections found speed sensor wire had a melt spot on it like it got pinched on motor bolt at some time. pulled sensor out and repaired wires, my question is did it burn up controller or sensor, because still have the same problem after repair. and I have reset buy removing bat + and starting test over still have a 1-3 beep in diag.
