99 DS seems to slip
I took my 99 DS to the golf course today. It did real good except it would seem to slip a little sometimes. Felt like a slipping clutch. I am guessing I should have cleaned the v glide when I had the batteries out. Do you guys think that is causing my slip. Also does the v glide need to be removed to clean, if so how do you get it out. The only other way I see to get to it is removing batteries.
Thanks for your help. |

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
Not low voltage, it was 52 volts this morning when I started only dropped one bar on the Curtis soc meter all day. I will recheck the cables but they were tight when I checked them yesterday. Thanks

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
The tires weren't slipping on the grass were they?
I have seen that happen before... |

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
Was it slipping on the concrete?
Does it do it every time? Is there a difference from accelerating slowly compared to quickly? |

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
Yes it does it on hard top. Never really tried different ways of pushing pedal. Most of the time I just ease out and speed up as I get going. I will try pedal to the medal tomorrow. I was just thinking it was the v glide all day.

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
Went out and tried this morning. Wide open from the get go is fine. I think I have been letting up on the pedal as I am moving slow looking for ball in tall grass. This is like taking my foot off then back on. My 2003 IQ is smooth and seamless. I just need to get used to the feel of the v glide.

Re: 99 DS seems to slip
I have noticed that the v-glide carts are a little more jerky (not by much) than the MCOR carts. It's probably normal...
