did it click ? you get 36v+ across terminals when gas is pressed ? maybe wires are burnt at lugs ?

Replaced that!!! Even if it doesn't fix the problem, you're rid of a crispy old failure prone solenoid.

Disregard battery crud next to it. That was from old batteries. Its been there

Hey. It's a handmedown from inlaws. Worked great for the past 2 yrs. No need for me to check it out.

yea looking at close up the wire is burnt off top small lug .. replace it and do the wires too
