Re: Yamaha G22 Club "Please Post"
My 6" lift on a g29 with 23" tires which is almost the same as a g22 the rear step plate was over 24" off the ground.

Re: Yamaha G22 Club "Please Post"
Im not sure of the percentage of the plowmans kit. With his kit you pretty much get 3 different ways of getting the power back to the wheels. The first is the airbox mod, high flow filter and larger carb jets. These allow for more airflow which needs more fuel. When bypassing the governor this allows the carts to get the proper amount so that the engine doesnt get too hot(lean). Also you get better throttle repsonse.
You will get a machine clutch sheeve which allows the belt to ride higher and tighter for less slippage. With the belt riding higher you get better gearing. Lastly is the clutch springs. The springs allow the engine to make more rpms in the sweet spot so to speak where you need the power the most for pulling climbing and just better overall acceleration. Don will be more than happy to explain everything to you to a T. |

The larger tires raise the final drive ratio. Larger tires = higher speed, but less torque. Like db says, there are ways to overcome the issue... |

Re: Yamaha G22 Club "Please Post"
I raised the machine today, first time wife said she hates 6"
she preffered the normal height I will also say i have discovered probably the best way to do your own camo. Park it under tree and move it around till you see the perfect shade from leaves and spray bomb the highlights. I took it to cottage and went up hills no problem when it was stock. Well see next weekend if torque is a factor. Its alot different driving "High" and hope it steers in tight bush and trees like it did before. |

Well my 2005 Yamaha G22 Raised and half ready.
Now with some camo accent.
Wife hates the lift and the skin, she would rather the stock car she does not feel safe. O well I guess its for me and my daughter to use. I hope my 83 YO father can still get in , may have been a mistake to raise or an opportunity to have to buy another ...hmmm. |
