Default 48 Volt F/R Switch

I have a 1998 EZGO Shuttle 6. It is 48 volt and the forward reverse switch is getting hot. I want to replace it with a heavy duty switch. My question is does it matter if the switch is 36 volt or 48 volt or are they just heavy duty and will work either way.

IF you get the HD F&R switch from Scotty....you will be good to go. but YES, they are good for either.

Thanks for the info. I emailed him and he hooked me up with the part I need to order. I am new to this forum, it seems like a lot of people trust him.
