Are my batteries toast?
Duracell GC2 batteries on a 2003 EZGO TXT Shuttle
I am not sure of the age, I have owned the cart for a year. I noticed the last time I went camping the cart seemed to lose power halfway through the day. I used to be able to tool around all day and only charge it at night. i charged them up and let them rest for 24 hours. Pack voltage 37.8 front row of batteries all 3 were 6.2 and back row all 3 were 6.4 When under load pack would dip down to 31.0 After driving around for about 10 min pack is 37.1 front 3 batteries 6.1 back 3 batteries 6.3 |

Re: Are my batteries toast?
Well the 3 that are reading 6.2 after 24 hour rest are only @ 70 # SOC so they are really hurting your overall endurance.... Look for a stencil on the battery lug itself, stamp or sticker with the likes of F7 or APR07 etc to judge the battery age...
A = Jan B = Feb C = Mar Since 3 have 3 battery already highly questionable you will want to replace them all... |
