solenoid
I have learned a lot about golf cart by reading post by some of the best if not the BEST instructor in the world.
So I'm back asking one more question. I have read all about solenoid not clicking and how to make them work. But I have not read about a solenoid that clicks and then unclick. Almost in one sec. I have power on both wires at some point, but It does not stay. Next question If I force the solenoid to make and stay made, should the cart run??? Thanks to all Sonny |

Re: solenoid
Let me guess - Ezgo PDS ? It does that when you wake the system up... otherwise the coil pulling in and then dropping out can be caused by low voltage... Sometimes we see them do this so rapidly it is described as a chatter. In reality the voltage is high enough to pull the coil in but doing so draws the (weak) voltage down so the coil drops out which removes the load and the coil gets enough voltage to pull back in but this taxes the pack to the point it cant support the coil draw and it drops back out only to have the voltage come back up and so on.

Re: solenoid
That is the hardest thing you can do to them. A number of things could have failed.
Sounds like you are back to testing 101 Does the solenoid click when you try to go? |
