Default EZ Go TXT with no goveneor

I've got at 2004 EZ GO 36v that I picked up used this year and it seems to be missing the hill governor. There are a couple steep hills on the course that I need to go down, and I end up almost standing on the brakes to keep it in control.

Is there something that I need to wire up??

I'd like to be able to switch the governor on and off as I have to drive about a mile to the course - and then get there and flip the switch to have the cart hold itself back on the hills.

If your cart has its shifter by your right knee, it is a "series drive system" & has no regen braking or "governor".

It has the shifter by my right heel - super hard to shift into F/R.

No governor - - - is there anything that people have been doing to work around this?

Use a dielectric grease or vaseline on the rotating part - the part with the cables, not the handle. If you can avoid it, don't loosen the cam, as it could result in a poor connection, which will heat up and possibly destroy an expensive part, and will likely take out a few cables.
