A few battery questions
Hi again,
I have a 2008 PDS EZ-GO that is licensed for road use. I put a voltmeter across the battery pack to determine state of charge. I know that the batteries need to rest for a while before this measurement is taken , but I also watch it during operation. What voltage drop is to be expected when the cart is in operation under light, moderate, and heavy loads? My second question is when measuring each battery during rest. What is a diserable variation in voltage from battery to battery (a measure of balance)? |

Re: A few battery questions
cart running about 46 volts underload -full throttle. That would be normal. Should be heading back home if you have a digital meter, and you see 44 volts flat ground full throttle.

Re: A few battery questions
pack voltage should be 38.2 after full charge and 12hrs rest
each 6v battery should be 6.37 never let cart batteries get to 50% discharge or 36..3v at rest reading your while driving readings can be as low as 34v under heavy load see chart |
